Third term of our govt will begin from June: PM Modi exudes confidence ahead of Lok Sabha polls

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday exuded confidence that the BJP will return to power after the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

“The third term of my government will begin from June … the scale and speed with which it has been working have surprised people,” PM Modi said, referring to the slew of development projects recently launched across the nation.

He was speaking after the launch of more than 2,000 railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 41,000 crore.

Underlining the transformation in the railways, the Prime Minister said that people have seen a new India being built in the last 10 years, including the launch of Vande Bharat trains.

Earlier this month, PM Modi claimed that the saffron party will win 370 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. He also said that his government’s third time will witness very big decisions and lay foundation for the next 1,000 years.

“I can gauge country’s mood, it will give over 400 seats to NDA and at least 370 seats to BJP in Lok Sabha polls. On the basis of the experience of 10 years of governance, looking at today’s strong economy and the rapid speed with which India is progressing today, I can confidently say that in our third term, India will be the third largest economic power. This is Modi’s guarantee,” he said.

PM Modi, in his address, told youngsters that their dreams are his resolve. “India now dreams big and works day and night to fulfil its dreams. Your dreams and hard work and my resolve are a guarantee of Viksit Bharat,” he added.
