Eine durchschnittliche Füllung eines Heiztanks kostet Eigenheimbesitzer derzeit 1000 Franken mehr als im Jahr zuvor. Doch auch Mieterinnen und Mieter von Liegenschaften mit Ölheizung tragen via Nebenkostenabrechnung den Ölpreis-Höhenflug mit. Das kann man dagegen tun.

Für diese Aargauer Hausbesitzerin ist der Ofen aus. «Bei uns bleibt es diesen Winter kalt», sagt Jeannette Adams (68) zu Blick. Nicht nur die pensionierte Schulhilfe aus Aarburg trifft der Heizölpreis-Hausse hart. Rentner Heinrich Spycher (75) aus Rothrist AG konstatiert: «Es ist verrückt, wie der Preis hochgegangen ist.»

Vor einem Jahr kostete eine durchschnittliche Füllung des Heizöltanks (3000 Liter) rund 2000 Franken. Heute müssen Eigenheimbesitzer dafür 3000 Franken auf den Tisch legen. 1000 Franken mehr! Das tut weh. «Doch weniger heizen kommt für uns deswegen nicht infrage, wir frieren nicht gern», sagt Pensionär Spycher.

Was also tun? Blick hat mit der Hilfe des Hauseigentümer- und Mieterverbands Tipps zusammen getragen, damit Sie Kosten in der «Frostperiode» senken können. Eine gute halbe Million privater Wohnliegenschaften in der Schweiz heizen noch mit Öl. Gut zu wissen: Mieterinnen und Mieter erfahren meist nur mit grosser Verzögerung im Sommer anhand der Nebenkostenabrechnung, dass sie fürs Heizen deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen müssen als auch schon.

Tipp 1: Notlieferungen vermeiden: Mit dem Heizölkauf nicht so lange warten, bis der Tank im Keller leer ist. Denn dann kommen Extra-Kosten für die Schnelllieferungen obendrauf. Klar, man kann auf einen Preisrückgang spekulieren. Aber danach sieht es derzeit nicht aus. Von Blick befragte Heizöllieferanten aus dem Mittelland raten, nicht mehr lange zuzuwarten. «Es kann gut sein, dass die Preise bis Ende Jahr nochmals steigen», heisst es bei der Oel-Pool AG stellvertretend.

Tipp 2: Jetzt bestellen, Steuern sparen! Roger Wirth (49) ist Chef von Oel-Hauser. Er gibt die CO₂-Abgaben auf Heizöl zu bedenken. Weil die nächste CO₂-Abgaben-Erhöhung um 6.85 Franken per 100 Liter ab 1. Januar 2022 anstehe, rät Wirth: «Heizöl jetzt einkaufen!»

Tipp 3: Heizanlage modernisieren: Wer regelmässig Geld für die Instandhaltung der Wohnimmobilie zurückgelegt hat, sollte die Modernisierung der Heizanlage nicht vernachlässigen. Wer noch im Besitz einer älteren Heizanlage ist – 20 Jahre oder mehr – kann viel Geld durch Austauschen oder Modernisieren sparen. Stichwort hoher Brennstoffverbrauch: Gerade alte Ölheizungen sind im Vergleich zu modernen Anlagen besonders teuer.

Tipp 4: Räume unterschiedlich beheizen: Die Raumtemperatur sollte im Wohnbereich möglichst nicht mehr als 20 bis 21 Grad Celsius betragen. «Ein Pulli, lange Hosen und ein Paar warme Socken unterstützen den Komfort», heisst es auf der Website des Hauseigentümerverbands. In Nebenräumen wie Küche, wo Kühlschrank, Herd und Spülmaschine mitheizen, könne die Heizung gedrosselt werden. Im Schlafzimmer sind 17 bis 18 Grad Celsius ausreichend.

Tipp 5: Jedes Grad weniger zählt! Thermostate richtig einstellen. Die Stellung drei bedeutet rund 20 Grad Celsius Raumtemperatur. Durch die richtige Nutzung von Thermostatventilen lässt sich 4 bis 8 Prozent Heizenergie sparen. Heizkörper entlüften sollte man mindestens einmal im Jahr, am besten vor der Heizperiode und wenn ein Gluckern zu hören ist. Dadurch können Konsumenten die Heizkosten um bis zu 15 Prozent senken.

Tipp 6: Richtig lüften: Lediglich das Kippfenster öffnen bringt im Winter nichts. Am besten lüftet man wenige Male am Tag mit weit geöffneten Fenstern für einige Minuten lang quer durch die Wohnung. Die Luft wird schnell ausgetauscht, Wände und Möbel kühlen aber so nicht aus. Bei starker Kälte daran denken, Rollläden nachts konsequent unten zu lassen, um so Wärmeverluste zu verringern.

Tipp 7: Elektroöfeli ist kein Ersatz! «Wir haben noch ein Heizöfeli, das werden wir dann eben noch mehr anfeuern müssen», sagte Pensionärin Jeannette Adams zu Blick. Davon ist ihr aber abzuraten. «Ein Dauerbetrieb von Heizlüftern und Radiatoren ist reine Energie- und Geldverschwendung», bestätigt der Hauseigentümerverband. Solche Geräte sollten nur im Notfall und über eine kurze Zeit eingesetzt werden.

Tipp 8: Heizkörper nicht verstellen: Platzieren Sie keine Sofas oder Schränke direkt vor den Heizkörpern. Die Wärme muss ungehindert ausstrahlen können. Schwere Vorhänge sollten ebenfalls nicht die Heizkörper bedecken.

Ein letzter Tipp zum Schluss: Kommt der Vermieter seiner Heizpflicht nicht nach, kann der Mieter die Behebung des Mangels verlangen und Mietzinsreduktionsansprüche, allenfalls sogar Schadenersatzansprüche geltend machen. Der Anspruch auf Mietzinsreduktion gilt vom Zeitpunkt an, an dem der Vermieter vom Mangel erfahren hat, bis zur Behebung.

Der Mieterverband ergänzt: Wenn sich die Mietwohnung nicht über 16 bis 19 Grad aufheizen lässt, kann gemäss Rechtssprechung ebenfalls eine Mietzinsreduktion für diese «Frostperiode» geltend gemacht werden. Rund 20 Prozent Abschlag auf die Nettomiete liegen drin. (uro)
