Popular 'proper' Richmond pub 'that never disappoints' up for sale for £1 million

A pub near Richmond has been put up for sale for £1 million, ideal for those looking to host rugby fans. The building also has eight rooms and is sure to be busy at the moment due to the Six Nations.

The White Hart Inn on the outskirts of South West London has recently been put up for sale. The three star hotel is just over 4 miles from Heathrow airport and is just a 10 minute walk from the infamous Twickenham stadium.

It’s also close to the heart of London and according to Estate agents Fleurets is just a 30 minute train ride from Waterloo. The detached two story building can accommodate just over 60 customers. Fleurets describe the property as having a “Characterful open plan, split level trading area with period ceiling beams throughout.”

Fans of the pub have called it

With six rooms on the first floor and a further two rooms in the “attic” the pub host 8 paying rooms a long with the business from the pub downstairs. The pub also has a garden with numerous tables spread out at the back of the pub with a current grill like feature in the middle.

The pub currently has a rating of 4.1 star rating (out of five) on google. One happy customer wrote: “Stayed as I was working in the area. Lovely place, built in the 1500s and the quirky rooms reflect that! Lovely staff, friendly locals, good food and a great pint.”

Another wrote: “Nice and friendly, quirky pub. Stayed overnight in spotless room with an en-suite and had a nice Full English the next day. Really accommodating Landlord. Popped back after the rugby for a quick pint and friendly locals too. Would definitely go back.”

A third wrote: “A proper pub, not many of these left! Been coming here for years and it never disappoints.”

The owner of the building has put the property up for freehold sale according to leisure property specialist Fleurets. Most pubs are up for a leasehold which would still see the same owner of the building, however this pub would see new owners own the building itself too.
