Poll strategist Prashant Kishor, who was the advisor to Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee during the West Bengal Assembly elections, is enrolled as a voter from Bhabanipur in West Bengal. Bhabanipur has been CM Mamata Banerjee’s traditional constituency.
Bhabanipur is set to witness a high-octane bypoll with BJP pitting Priyanka Tibrewal against Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee.
According to sources, Prashant Kishor got his name enrolled as a voter from Bhabanipur before the commencement of the West Bengal Assembly polls in April of this year.
As per the official website of the Election Commission of India, Kishor is currently a voter of (159) Bhabanipur.
Citing Kishor’s name on the electoral roll in Bhabanipur, the West Bengal BJP took a jibe at CM Mamata Banerjee over her earlier ‘outsiders’ remarks.

Prashant Kishor’s role behind TMC’s thumping victory at the Bengal polls has been heavily discussed.
However, as parties gear up for the upcoming assembly elections in five states, Prashant Kishor has decided to keep away and extend his sabbatical. This puts to rest rumours of him joining a political outfit anytime soon.
This clearly means that Prashant Kishor is not keen on playing any role in the upcoming assembly elections in five states, including Uttar Pradesh.
After TMC’s victory in West Bengal, which had left BJP upset, Prashant Kishor had announced his retirement from election management. “I have been thinking of quitting for too long and was looking for an opportunity. Bengal gave me that chance,” he said.
