Polizist mit Trychel – dieses Foto von der Anti-Impf-Demo sorgt für Wirbel

Das Foto eines Berner Polizisten, der am Samstag am Rand der Kundgebung von Covid-Massnahmengegnern eine Trychel trägt, hat für Wirbel gesorgt. Die Polizei hat nach eigenen Angaben mit dem Mitarbeitenden des Verkehrsdiensts das Gespräch gesucht.

Bei der Polizei schliesst man aus, dass der Mann irgend eine Verbindung zu Gruppierungen im Umfeld der Massnahmenkritiker hat. Vielmehr sei die Situation spontan aus einem Gespräch des Verkehrsdienstmitarbeitenden mit einem Kundgebungsteilnehmer entstanden. Dabei sei es unter anderem um das Gewicht der grossen Glocken gegangen, die der Trychler mitgetragen habe.

Auf dem Foto ist ein uniformierter Mann zu sehen, der ein oranges Gilet mit der Aufschrift «Polizei» trägt. Er hat sich ein Joch mit zwei Trycheln auf die Schultern gelegt und wird dabei von einer Kollegin fotografiert. Hinter den beiden steht ein Mann in einem weissen Hirtenhemd und beobachtet das Geschehen.

Dem Mitarbeitenden des Verkehrsdienstes sei nicht bewusst gewesen, dass er damit ein Signal aussenden könnte, hiess es am Sonntag bei der Medienstelle der Kantonspolizei. Und: Der Mitarbeitende habe keineswegs seine politische Meinung äussern wollen.

Im Zusammenhang mit den Kundgebungen der Massnahmengegner in Bern und anderswo in der Schweiz kursierte in den vergangenen Tagen bereits in einschlägigen Sozialen Medien ein Video, das angeblich Polizisten zeigt, die sich der Covid-kritischen Szene angeschlossen haben. «Wir für euch» nennt sich die Gruppe. Konkret zu erkennen ist auf dem Video niemand, die gezeigten Personen sind soweit sichtbar in zivil und tragen schwarze Kapuzenjacken.

Ob echt oder nicht, das Video befeuerte jedenfalls Diskussionen rund um die Loyalität von Polizistinnen und Polizisten.

In Bern demonstrierten am Samstag tausende Menschen gegen die Covid-Politik des Bundes. Die Kundgebung verlief friedlich. Mit von der Partie waren auch über hundert Trychlerinnen und Trychler, die den Umzug zum Bundesplatz anführten. (aeg/sda)
