Bryan Santos piloted the FiberXers’ courageous comeback as he finished with 22 points, highlighted by 7-of-10 shooting from three-point country to help the team end its eight straight losses to start the conference.
The win marked the FiberXers’ first since the boys of coach Aldin Ayo dumped Terrafirma, 103-94 on December 13.
“We’re excited for this win,” said Ayo after the game, whose team though is out of playoff running with its 1-8 record.
“The players are motivated, the whole team is motivated to get this first win,” he added, whose team gave San Miguel fits during their recent meeting before falling short, 112-103.
Alec Stockton scored 20 for Converge, Justin Arana added 18 and seven boards, while Deschon Winston chipped in 14.
Chris Newsome scored 25 points to lead the Bolts, who fell to 3-5, their playoff hopes suddenly in jeopardy.
