It’s official! Mammootty’s ‘Turbo’ to release on THIS date
Superstar Mammootty has announced the release of his upcoming film ‘Turbo’. On Sunday, April 14, on the occasion of Vishu, the makers of ‘Turbo’ confirmed that the film will be released in the theatres on June 13.
Mammootty will be essaying Turbo Jose in the upcoming film directed by Vysakh. The film also marks the reunion of Mammootty and Vysakh after ‘Pokkiri Raja’ and its sequel ‘Madhura Raja’.
On the occasion of Vishu, the makers took to their social media handle and said, “The wait is over. Making it official! Turbo Jose will set screens worldwide ablaze on June 13. Stay tuned as more power-packed Turbo updates are being prepared for you. #TurboFromJune13.”

Helmed by Vysakh, ‘Turbo’ is expected to be a mass-action entertainer. Starring Mammootty, the film also has Kannada actor Raj B Shetty, and Telugu actor Sunil, and Anjana Jayaprakash of ‘Pachuvinte Albhuthavilakkum’ fame in crucial roles.
On the technical side, Vishnu Sarma has wielded the lens for the film, while Shameer Muhammed is in charge of the editing department. The music is scored by Christo Xavier. The film is backed by Mammootty’s home production banner and disrtibuted by his son Dulquer Salmaan’s production house.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mammootty’s recent release was ‘Bramayugam’, a fantasy horror thriller. The film directed by Rahul Sadasivan earned both critical acclaim and also was a blockbuster hit. Mammootty’s exceptional acting chops in the film had left the nation in awe. ‘Bramayugam’ is currently streaming on OTT.
