Police make horror discovery after serious crash and chase

Three men have been taken into custody after a two-vehicle collision in Melbourne’s CBD, with the group allegedly fleeing the scene after spotting police.

Police said a car and van collided on LaTrobe St at around 2:50pm, with the three men in the car fleeing on foot after the crash.

Police officers happened to be in the area at the time, rushing to the scene after overhearing the crash.

Officers then allegedly found drugs hidden in the car after searching the vehicle.

Images taken at the scene also show police holding a large hunting knife.
