Police investigating death of a man in 'targeted' attack in Melbourne

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man after he was found inside a home in Melbourne’s west.

Police were called to the property in Sunshine North last night, after reports a man was injured.

Emergency services arrived just after 8.30pm to find the man with injuries, but paramedics were unable to save him and he died at the scene.

“While the exact circumstances are still to be established, at this stage police believe this was a targeted incident,” a Victoria Police statement said.

“Police do not believe there is any further immediate threat to the community.”

© Nine The man was found injured inside a Sunshine North home and died at the scene.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity at the property last night, as well as anyone in the area who may have CCTV or dashcam footage.

Anyone with information is being urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
