Seventeen people have been charged after police raids in Sydney's eastern suburbs resulted in the seizure of cocaine with an estimated street value of $50,000.
Police seized 94.2 grams of cocaine and $35,280 in cash during Operation Express, on Friday and Saturday, targeting crime and anti-social behaviour.
A total of 17 people were arrested and charged with drug-related and proceeds of crime offences.
“With the reopening of licensed venues and the weather warming up, we are expecting lots of people out and about in the eastern suburbs, so police will be out to make sure everyone stays safe,” Detective Superintendent Martin Fileman said.
“We want to send a clear message to people who think they can partake in illicit activities.”Internet Explorer Channel Network
