edinburgh steak restaurant announces sad closure after nine years on busy street

Chop House has announced its sad closure.

An Edinburgh steak restaurant has announced its sad closure after nine years of making “fantastic memories” in the capital.

Chop House, which has several restaurants in the city including areas such as Bruntsfield and Market Street, have announced the closure of their Leith eatery on Constitution Street.

The restaurant claim the decision was made in order for them to focus on other businesses but admitted they have “loved being in Leith,” with the last day of business set to be Sunday, February 25.

The announcement was made via the restaurant’s Instagram account and attracted dozens of comments in less than an hour with customers advised that gift vouchers can still be used at Market Street or Bruntsfield.

They said: “Chop House has been part of the Leith landscape since 2015 but all good things must come to an end.

“In order to concentrate on our other restaurants, we have decided to leave our Constitution Street branch. We’ve loved being in Leith, making many friends and some fantastic memories.

“You can still enjoy all your Chop House favourites at our other two sites, in Market Street and in Bruntsfield. Our Leith restaurant will host its final day of service on Sunday 25th February, and we wish our new resident all the very best – keep an eye on this space!
