PM Modi explains the logic behind ‘400-paar’

Providing details about the ambitious plan to win more than 400 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi, in an exclusive interview with Times Now, explained the reasoning behind the substantial goal of 400-paar.

PM Modi expressed assurance when asked about his confidence in the NDA’s capability to achieve the 400-plus target following the completion of two phases of polling. He explained how the BJP and its allies have collectively achieved the target set by the party.

“Just count the number of sitting MPs we have. When we emerged victorious in 2019, we had approximately 359 Members of Parliament. Political parties from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha consistently supported us. This amounts to approximately 35 Members of Parliament. Additionally, Members of Parliament from the Northeast are aligned with us. Therefore, in practical terms, the NDA+ already had a strength of around 400. Our strength in the Parliament was already 400,” PM Modi explained.

“I don’t know why people are surprised when we say 400-plus seats. The reality is that we have been running the Parliament with the support of about 400 MPs since 2014,” PM Modi further said.

When PM Modi was pointed out that the alliance with Naveen Patnaik’s BJD did not materialise still the support remained, PM Modi said, “We had fought against them face-to-face as NDA in the past. Even in 2019, we fought tooth and nail.”

The campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently active, spanning a wide area from Jammu in the North to Thiruvananthapuram in the South.

The intense campaigning has raised controversial topics, leading to heated discussions between the ruling party and the Opposition. Important subjects being debated include Muslim reservation, wealth distribution, inheritance tax, and women’s safety, all of which have been discussed by PM Modi in his speeches.

However, these discussions have also resulted in strong reactions from the Opposition, with many complaints and requests for action being made.

The Lok Sabha Election is ongoing, and the schedule is moving through its phases. Voting has taken place for the first two phases on April 19 and May 3. The third phase is scheduled for May 7, followed by the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth on May 20, the sixth on May 25, and the final seventh phase on June 1. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
