Mahashivratri will be celebrated on March 8 this year.
Mahashivratri, a revered Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva, is celebrated annually by Hindus across the world. Hailed as the supreme deity in Hinduism, Lord Shiva is regarded as the destroyer and preserver of the universe. The festival of Mahashivratri, which is observed every year on the 13th or 14th night of the lunar month, will be celebrated on March 8 this year. According to Shiv Purana, to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva, one must offer flowers to him on the day of Mahashivratri. Astrologer Pandit Alok Pandya, in a conversation with the media, informed devotees about the flowers to offer to the god on the auspicious occasion to ensure success and prosperity in their lives.
Ahead of the sacred day, let’s take a look at five flowers that should be offered to Lord Shiva on Mahashivratri 2024.
