HCL Tech Dividend 2024 News: Leading Indian IT company HCL Technologies, known for offering lucrative dividends, is all set to pay dividends to its shareholders. A dividend is the distribution of a portion of a company’s earnings to its shareholders, usually in the form of cash or additional shares of stock. The next dividend will be paid to shareholders, subject to their eligibility on the record date.

HCL Tech, through an exchange filing, has also informed the bourses about the next board meeting date to announce its quarterly results, or Q4 results, for 2024.

HCL Tech is all set to announce a dividend to its shareholders along with its Q4 FY24 results. The company has said in its exchange filing that its Board of Directors will meet on April 26 and 27 to consider the payment of interim dividends for the financial year 2024–25.

HCL Tech Dividend 2024 Record Date, Ex-date

HCL Tech has already fixed May 7, 2024, as the record date for determining the entitlement of shareholders for the payment of the aforesaid interim dividend.

“The Record Date for determining the entitlement of shareholders for the payment of the aforesaid interim dividend shall be May 7, 2024, subject to the approval of the interim dividend by the Board of Directors,” said the company in the regulatory filing on the BSE.

Shares of HCL Tech will turn ex-dividend date on May 5, 2024. The eligibility for receiving a dividend on the ex-record date depends on whether the shareholder owns the stock before or on that date. If an investor owns the stock before the ex-dividend date, he/she becomes eligible to receive the dividend.

HCL Tech Dividend History

HCL Tech boasts a rich history of paying dividends to its shareholders. The company paid an Interim Dividend of Rs 12 in January 2024. In 2023, HCL Tech paid dividends of Rs 12, Rs 10, Rs 18, and Rs 10 on four dividend occasions amounting to a total of Rs 50 in the said year, as per the BSE data.

At the current market price, HCL Technologies has a dividend yield of 3.59 per cent.

HCL Tech shares have a 52-week range of Rs 1,696.50 – Rs 1,032.15. The company commands a market cap of Rs 3,92,911.57 crore as of April 20, according to the BSE website.
