PICS: H&M's new crystal-embellished collection is magpie approved

Spring has officially arrived in our wardrobes and it’s bright and sparkly and crystal embellished.

H&M is urging us to park the parkas and the heavy knits and has tapped into the hopeful mood of the coming months with the release of its aptly named Re-enchantment collection.

This is the collection that will make you fall in love with colour, crystals and floral motifs all over again after hiding ourselves away under winter layers for what feels like forever.

Even better the drop has serious green credentials.

Re-enchantment is the latest innovation story from the brand and is the culmination of its sustainability effort with a strong focus on recycled sequins, studs and crystals.

Assortment designer for H&M, Ella Soccorsi explains: ‘The collection celebrates the wonder of the natural world with beautifully embellished looks designed to delight.

‘Not only are they dazzling from a fashion perspective but they represent a milestone in more sustainably sourced embellishments something we’ve worked hard to improve over the past eight years.’

So what then can fashion lovers expect? Well, to give you an idea, Re-enchantment has been created to mimic the glittering look of naturally occurring crystals.

Sparkly, magpie-approved embellishments abound across everything from dresses to skirts, co-ords and most interestingly denim!

The colour palette runs from soft lemons and lilacs with hints of black and white all off-set by pops of acid yellow which is perfectly in line with the Sixties silhouettes.

Towering platforms and thigh-skimming mini-dresses and skirts are a throwback to the good times and are begging for an outing at your next event.

Even if that feels daunting there are plenty of items to peruse from the collection that will turn heads without making you feel on show.

The matching neon embellished trousers and shirt are wild and fun and embody the swinging Sixties while also being perfect for nights out and other celebrations.

The studded cutout denims are shaping up to be ‘a jeans and a nice top’ classic.

As for the star buy that you’ll want to add to cart ASAP, the studded denim jacket is your go-to for basically everything and can be dressed up or down (it’s fitted so size up).

Then there’s the floaty, silky lilac dress with the spaghetti straps and flattering embellished (naturally) ruffle detailing around the bust that is one of those pieces that will be a perennial wardrobe hero forever.

The H&M Re-enchantment Design Story collection lands in-store and online today (March 23).
