Few on-screen characters have ascended to the heights of style icon status quite like Carrie Bradshaw and Sex and the City fans have already had more than enough to sink their teeth into sartorially as the reboot has delivered some new outfits to obsess over.
The HBO Max reboot And Just Like That has plenty to live up to when it comes to resurrecting Sarah Jessica Parker’s character’s irreverent and unique sense of style for the 2020s.
Some of the behind-the-scenes pictures have had SATC fans scratching their heads, like when she was photographed swapping her Manolos for sandals and thick socks combo and more recently… clogs.
Here are Sarah Jessica Parker’s most statement looks to date on the set of the Sex and the City reboot…
Let’s start with one of the most perplexing looks that the American actress has been seen wearing, and very uncharacteristically Carrie B.
She went full-on granny chic in recent behind-the-scenes filming images as she wore a pink gingham check midi dress by Batsheva with layered silk scarves and even embellished Jimmy Choo sunglasses.
It was overall the styling of the look that left us with so many questions… Why are her Mary-Janes undone? Why is she wearing lilac marigold gloves? We can’t wait to tune in to find out what is going down.
The bombshell body-con
You don’t even need to have watched the iconic HBO show to know the image of Sarah Jessica Parker and her 90s defining mini body-con dress.
Little Black Dress, move over, we say. It’s all about the Little Blue Dress. The Hollywood starlet looked every inch a bombshell in this sky blue Norma Kamali ruched one-shouldered midi.
The unexpected occasion-wear
Some of the latest images from filming to go viral showed the 56-year-old star taking to the streets of Manhattan’s Upper East Side wearing a cropped corset blouse and an ornate floor-length flared skirt with crystal, sequin and beading embellishment, which is a traditional Indian Lehenga.
The ‘Lehka’ Lehanga is from the luxury Mumbai-based fashion brand Falguni Shane Peacock and the show-stopping ensemble was elevated as she wore colourful floral detailing in her plaited up-do.
Sharing images of the Hollywood heavyweight wearing the ensemble on Instagram, the designer announced with glee: ‘And just like that.. We became a part of a show that I binge-watched in my tweens, quoted all the dialogues from (especially, Carrie’s) and discussed endlessly with all my girl pals..’
The I’ll-wear-my-tutu-any-day-I-please look
It’s one of the outfits that fans of the HBO smash-hit have been waiting to see revamped: Carrie’s iconic tutu.
This time out it’s full-length, frou frou-like and paired with a more casual slouchy off-the-shoulder striped top. To be honest, we’re still holding out hope for a Molly Goddard appearance that could rival Villanelle’s in Killing Eve.
The holiday uniform
Never mind our cocktail hour wardrobe, Carrie is back inspiring our holiday dressing too.
She looked like a ray of sunshine in a stunning ombre silky dress by Judy Hornby which made us thinking of tropical blue waters and sunsets. All topped off with a wide-brim hat with a silk scarf and gold jewellery. Stunn-ing.
The relaxed powersuit
The Ohio-born star certainly meant business in this all-vintage workwear look. Her Gucci two-piece suit had a post-lockdown appropriate shape with an oversized blazer and matching high-waisted wide-leg trousers.
Matched with vintage Manolo Blahnik BB heels and her beautiful mane sleeked back into a slick bun, she looks ready for work as much as some picnic day-drinking in the park.

One of the most controversial looks to date has been a beautifully bohemian one.
Back in July, the actress graced the streets of New York City wearing a flowing paisley print maxi which was styled over a bright blue Oxford shirt and accessorised with a buzzy Gucci x Balenciaga Hourglass crossbody bag and platform heels by Terry de Havilland that were ready for the dance floor.
A fierce debate was sparked about the origin of the maxi dress with the leading question being: Would Carrie ever wear fast fashion?
The perfect shirt dress
Sarah Jessica Parker can rock any colour but this Carolina Herrera shirt dress in a gorgeous shade of pink just brought such a smile to our face.
The trusty party clutch
‘It’s a Bag-uette,’ is one of the catchphrases from the show that was subsequently immortalised and fans will know that of the most Carrie’s most traumatic moments ever was when she had her Fendi sequinned bag stolen on the street (along with a pair of Jimmy Choos and her jewellery).
Well, the fabulous designer bag is back and has been spotted jazzing up a number of outfits and we’re so happy to see it. We’ve actually found a chic look-alike on the high street that will knock a good few zeros off the price point.
