MORE than P320 million in claims from private hospitals in General Santos City will be released by the end of October, according to PhilHealth.
Nol Valila, head of PhilHealth-Local Health Insurance Office of GenSan, said they are currently completing the processing of up to 7,200 claims by the end of the month.
Valila added that the amount is part of the P437 million claims that completed the submission of documents to PhilHealth.
Earlier, the Private Hospitals Association of GenSan released a statement that the payment for their PhilHealth claims amounting to P834,532,820.98 has been delayed.
Valila, however, clarified that only P750 million out of the P834 million claimed by the hospitals is pending.
Of the P750 million, only P437 million had sufficient documents while others amounting to more than P300 million, were denied or returned to respective hospitals to be refiled.Internet Explorer Channel Network
