The Philadelphia signed former San Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price.

His agency, Elite Loyalty Sports, announced that the Eagles added Davis-Price to the NFL’s largest futures contract on Tuesday.

San Francisco made Davis-Price the No. 93 pick of the 2022 NFL Draft after he gained 1,003 rushing yards as a junior at LSU. He received 14 of 34 carries in Week 2 of his rookie season.

The 6-foot-1 back played an even smaller role last season. In his only game played, Davis-Price turned six handoffs into 21 yards on seven snaps. He has 120 career scrimmage yards on 40 touches.

The Louisiana native had already joined a crowded backfield before the 49ers acquired Christian McCaffrey during the 2022 campaign. Former sixth-round pick Elijah Mitchell and undrafted free agent Jordan Mason received the scarce reps behind the 2023 Offensive Player of the Year.

After letting Miles Sanders leave following a Pro Bowl year, the Eagles replaced him by landing D’Andre Swift from the Detroit Lions. Swift also earned a Pro Bowl invite with 1,263 yards and six touchdowns.

However, history could repeat itself with Swift entering free agency. Boston Scott and Rashaad Penny are also unrestricted free agents, leaving Gainwell and Lew Nichols III as the only returning Eagles running backs under contract in 2024.

Davis-Price can compete for a roster spot in Philadelphia this summer.
