Cooler weather is coming this week after Perth battled through a hot, dry, and windy heatwave that created a perfect storm for bushfires.
The city can still expect sunny weather, however, temperatures will be sitting at a maximum of 25C with light winds for most of the week.
The weather is expected to hit a top of 33C on Friday, a far cry from the run of several days over 38C that Perth sweated through earlier this week.
There could even be chances of a shower on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
The cooler weather will be a welcome reprieve for Wanneroo residents after the heatwave and windy conditions caused a bushfire to burn through 1870 hectares, claiming 18 homes.
Conditions were so dire that the Bureau of Meteorology issued its first-ever severe heatwave warning with the high bushfire risk and swathes of the State subject to total fire bans.
After battling the fire for almost five days, firefighters managed to get it under control on Sunday.
