Perth’s Instagram Queen Brooke Vulinovich is putting on her Santa hat to make sure all the good boys and girls in small business receive their presents.
With Christmas just around the corner, Vulinovich, who is the creator of Social Club — an online platform developed to coach members though the strategies, tools, and tactics to grow their business through Instagram — is throwing Perth’s Biggest Small Business Christmas Party on Saturday December 11 at Fridays Studio.
“There is not enough done to celebrate small business owners,” Vulinovich told Confidential.
In recent years she has seen a significant shift in how small business operates, especially since the onset of the pandemic with many pivoting to operate online.
“All you need is a smartphone and the internet and you can have a multimillion-dollar business,” she said.
“You don’t have to have a high rise in the CBD to run a multimillion-dollar business.”
She believes networking events also need to reflect this.
“I feel like the events that surround business need to change,” she said.
“Unless you do work for one of the big four or a big corporate, there isn’t an event that you can go to at Christmas time.
“Business is changing and the way that we network in business … it doesn’t need to be, ‘I’m in a suit and tie and here’s my business card, let’s connect’. It doesn’t need to be that any more.”
Anyone in business is encouraged to come along to get among Vulinovich’s glamorous take on Christmas, complete with free-flowing alcohol, grazing table and great company.
“If the guests have been good this year. Santa may even come? He may even have a sack full of gifts. Just for the guests that have been good,” she joked.
“It’s also a chance for people who perhaps don’t know anybody else in business, or work by themselves and have nobody to actually celebrate with, to come and network and make new friends and be surrounded by people who understand what it really takes to be in business.”Internet Explorer Channel Network
