Permohonan Sajat: NGO desak Australia jangan campur tangan

Kuala Lumpur: Lima pertubuhan badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) mendesak kerajaan Australia supaya jangan campur tangan dan tidak memberikan kebenaran kepada usahawan kosmetik, Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman atau dikenali sebagai Nur Sajat berpindah ke negara itu.

Bagi membuktikan keseriusan tuntutan mereka itu, lima wakil NGO itu iaitu Persatuan Pengguna Melayu Malaysia (PPMM), Pewaris Malaysia, Pertiga Malaysia, Harimau Bukit dan Warisan Takwa Malaysia tampil menyerahkan memorandum bantahan di Kedutaan Australia, di sini, hari ini.

Presiden Persatuan Pengguna Melayu Malaysia (PPMM) Che Hassan Che Johan berkata, pihaknya bersama rakan NGO Islam lain berharap pihak berkuasa Australia tidak melayan sebarang permohonan dikemukakan.

“Cukuplah dengan tindakannya yang menconteng arang, memalukan imej Malaysia dengan lari keluar negara. Dia menjadi contoh tidak baik apabila meloloskan diri dengan kuasa duit.

“Perkara ini tidak sepatutnya berlaku jika kita mempunyai integriti yang tinggi. Jadi isu seperti ini perlu diambil tindakan tegas, tidak boleh dikompromi dalam apa keadaan sekalipun,” katanya selepas menyerahkan memorandum bantahan kepada wakil Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Australia di Malaysia di ibu negara.

Katanya, mereka mahu ahli perniagaan berusia 36 tahun itu menghadapi perbicaraan yang sudah tertangguh sebagai satu proses undang-undang di negara ini.

Hadir sama, Presiden Pertubuhan Permuafakatan Majlis Ayahanda Malaysia (Permas) Datuk Ismail Awang.

Sementara itu, Ismail berkata, pihaknya terpanggil untuk bersama-sama menyatakan bantahan kepada pihak Kedutaan Australia kerana bimbang apa yang dilakukan Nur Sajat akan menjadi ikutan pendokongnya yang lain.

Katanya, sebagai rakyat Malaysia, Nur Sajat tidak sepatutnya memcemarkan imej negara dengan dakwaan diburu lebih 100 penguatkuasa Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (Jais) kerana gagal hadir dalam perbicaraan di mahkamah.

“Sebagai NGO, Permas bimbang dengan masalah keruntuhan moral oleh mereka yang berselindung di sebalik hak asasi.

“Kita mahu pihak kedutaan realistik dalam hal ini kerana Nur Sajat perlu dibicara atas kesalahan dilakukannya, bukan bebas ke mana-mana negara lain untuk mengelak daripada berdepan undang-undang,” katanya.

Akhbar ini dalam laporan ekslusif sejak Isnin lalu melaporkan, misteri ‘kehilangan’ usahawan Nur Sajat kini terjawab apabila dia dilaporkan sudah ditahan pihak imigresen Thailand pada 8 September lalu hasil maklumat pihak berkuasa Malaysia.

Untuk rekod, Nur Sajat, ditahan di sebuah kondominium mewah di Bangkok bersama seorang lelaki juga berperwatakan wanita warga Thailand ketika serbuan pihak imigresen jam 6 petang (waktu Thailand).

Pada 9 September atas kesalahan itu, Nur Sajat didakwa di mahkamah Thailand. Usahawan kosmetik itu bagaimanapun dibebaskan pada 10 September dengan jaminan AS$2,000 (RM8,343) yang dibuat seorang warga tempatan.

Dia kini menggunakan nama Bella ketika berada bersama rakannya di Bangkok Thailand.

Usahawan itu juga dikatakan mempunyai kad UNHCR sebagai jaminan tidak ditahan pihak berkuasa.
