Data shows COVID-19 deaths falling over the first few months of 2024

There has been a steady decline in the number of COVID-related deaths in Australia during 2024.

Data from the Department of Health and Aged Care indicates the daily death average from the virus has fallen to less than half the rate in just four months.

The data shows the death rate has dropped from ten in January to less than five in April.

There were 189 COVID-related deaths in January 2024.

The number is down from 753 during the same period in 2023.
