Pensioners, welfare recipients set for budget boost
Next week’s federal budget will include almost $30 billion in savings as the government tries to rein in spending and fight inflation. There’ll be additional help for people on pensions and payments and fixed incomes, and there’ll be additional help for people who are doing it tough, and the details of that will be provided on Tuesday. That’s on top of the extra money workers will get from Labor’s changes to Stage 3 tax cuts coming in July.
