First poster of Jahnvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ is out, tag line reads: ‘You don’t have to always live your parents’ dream… live yours’

Noted producer-director Karan Johar has finally released the first poster of the much-awaited ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, which has Jahnvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead.

Karan Johar had announced the new release date of ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ recently. The movie is going to be released in theatres on May 31.

The poster has the backs of Jahnvi and Rajkummar wearing Indian Team T shirts with their names – Mahima and Mahendra written on them. The two can be seen cheering for the Indian team at a cricket ground.

Sharing the poster, Karan Johar wrote: “It’s time to follow YOUR dreams, the field is yours to own! #MrAndMrsMahi in cinemas on May 31st, 2024!”

What catches the eye is the tagline of the movie, which reads: “You don’t have to always live your parents’ dream. Live yours…”

Rajkummar will play a character named Mahendra Singh Dhoni while Janhvi will be seen as Mahima.

‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ is being presented jointly by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios.

In an earlier interview with Mid-Day, Janhvi had said that she underwent six months of intensive training for the movie. “It was an exhaustive process of six months to get into the skin of the character and sync into the role,” she had told the website.

Jahnvi and Rajkummar had wrapped up the shoot of ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ in May 2023.

‘Mr And Mrs Mahi’ is directed by Sharan Sharma. He had made his directorial debut with another Jahnvi Kapoor starrer ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’.

Talking about Rajkummar, he has a busy 2024, besides ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, his new movie ‘Srikanth’ is set to release next month. Post that he will also be seen in ‘Stree 2’ opposite Shraddha Kapoor.
