Watch: Ranveer Singh, Samantha star in hilarious new ad with Cheteshwar Pujara

Actors Ranveer Singh and Samantha Ruth Prabhu came together for the first time for an advertisement. The two featured in a commercial for a food delivery app along with the Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara. The comic commercial was shared on social media, leaving the fans of Ranveer and Samantha with the wish to see them together in a film.Â

The commercial begins with what looks like an IPL auction. Samantha and Ranveer essay the role of the owners of a team, who are there to bid for the cricketers they wish to have in their team. As the moderator announces the name of Cheteshwar Pujara, Ranveer and Samantha give each other a look and then call the cricketer to tell him, “Tujhe bhi khilayenge (We will make you play as well.”Â

However, Ranveer takes a pun at the word ‘khilayenge’ and, instead of taking Pujara in his team, feeds him some scrumptious food. Amused by Ranveer’s actions, Pujara says, “You hit a six, Baba.” The commercial ends with Ranveer and Samantha enjoying a cricket match together.Â

Elated to watch Ranveer and Samantha in the same frame, a fan commented, “You thought 2024 is done with crossovers and here is Pujara, Ranveer and Samantha in the same frame (sic).” Another wrote, “Unexpected collab again (sic).” One of them commented, “Wow they really bought Pujji and Ranveer in a single frame (sic).” A fan also complimented Samantha, “Well Sam look too damn hot.”

Another ad, featuring Ranveer, Samantha and Cheteshwar as gym buddies was also shared on the internet. In it, Ranveer and Samantha once again take a dig at the cricketer for not being selected for IPL tournament this year.Â

Pujara shared a picture of himself with Ranveer and Samantha and wrote, “No one was harmed in this collab! We cool @ranveersingh @samantharuthprabhuoffl.” Ranveer commented on the photo saying, “Hehehehehehe Pujji Bhai you are simply the coolest! (sic)”Â

Samantha will be seen next in directors Raj and DK’s ‘Citadel: India’. She will share the screen space with Varun Dhawan in the spy thriller series. She was last seen in ‘Kushi’, alongside Vijay Deverakonda.Â

Ranveer, who delivered a hit with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, will be next seen in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3’. The film also stars Kiara Advani in a pivotal role.Â
