PBT disaran mudahkan permohonan lesen penjaja

PONTIAN – Kerajaan Negeri mahu setiap Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT) di negeri ini memudahkan proses permohonan lesen penjaja kepada penduduk setempat yang mahu menceburkan diri dalam bidang perniagaan.

Menteri Besar Johor, Datuk Ir Hasni Mohamad berkata, usaha itu dilihat sebagai alternatif terbaik dalam membantu meningkat lagi ekonomi penduduk setempat khususnya mereka yang terjejas akibat pandemik Covid-19.

Menurut beliau, dalam keadaan ramai yang terkesan akibat pandemik, perkara-perkara membabitkan birokrasi yang membebankan seperti tempoh permohonan lesen perlu segera diselesaikan.

“Kalau orang hendak buka kedai makan, jangan sampai berbulan-bulan baru hendak dapat lesen. Kalau boleh permudahkan. Jika rakyat hendak berniaga di mana-mana juga, benarkan mereka.

“Urusan lesen ini kita buat kemudian. Beri mereka ruang dan peluang untuk menambah pendapatan, jadi kena cari jalan untuk kita boleh mengurangkan kerenah-kerenah birokrasi dalam keadaan rakyat tersepit,” katanya pada Program Senamrobik Muafakat Makmur Benut (MMB) 53, di sini, pada Sabtu.

Hasni berkata, dalam keadaan pandemik yang masih berlarutan, kerjasama semua pihak amat diperlukan selain keprihatinan pihak kerajaan sendiri dalam membantu golongan yang memerlukan.

Dalam pada itu, beliau juga turut mengakui hasil kerajaan Negeri kini telah berkurangan memandangkan pelbagai inisiatif telah dilakukan seperti pengecualian bayaran sewaan premis perniagaan milik kerajaan.

“Kerajaan terpaksa mengurangkan hasil, macam sekarang kita beri sewaan percuma sahaja kepada mereka yang menyewa premis-premis perniagaan milik PBT, agensi kerajaan dan rumah-rumah yang dimiliki kerajaan.

“Perolehan hasil kita sekarang terpaksa dihentikan dahulu, namun semuanya kita kena juga buat kerana rakyat sedang susah dan memerlukan bantuan. Jadi, saya juga berharap pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) di negeri ini juga dapat memainkan peranan,” katanya.
