Pas gesa KDN tegas tangani isu arak

SHAH ALAM – Pas menggesa Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN) supaya lebih tegas dalam menangani dan mengawal industri arak di negara ini.

Ketua Penerangannya, Kamaruzaman Mohamad berkata, pihak berkuasa tempatan (PBT) yang bertanggungjawab juga perlu meletakkan syarat yang lebih ketat berkaitan minuman keras.

Menurutnya, desakan itu dibuat kerana Pas konsisten dengan pendirian menolak semua perkara yang bertentangan dengan syariat termasuk industri minuman keras yang jelas membawa mudarat kepada sistem sosial, kekeluargaan dan keselamatan masyarakat keseluruhannya.

“Isu yang tular kini mengenai arak berjenama Timah hakikatnya telah wujud di negara ini sejak 2013 lagi. Namun, perlu diingatkan bahawa minuman keras walau apa jenama sekali pun adalah tetap dilarang oleh Islam.

“Oleh itu, ia perlu dikawal seketat mungkin bagi mengelakkan daripada berlaku lebih banyak kerosakan sebagaimana yang dibuat negeri Kelantan yang merupakan antara model terbaik dalam mengawal industri berkaitan arak dari sudut jualan dan kebenaran meminumnya,” kata beliau menerusi kenyataan pada Sabtu.

Justeru itu, tegasnya, Pas menyeru kepada semua pihak untuk berganding bahu dalam usaha membangunkan sebuah negara baharu yang lebih baik dan bebas daripada kemudaratan kesan daripada minuman arak yang berleluasa.

Isu arak jenama Timah tular di media sosial sejak beberapa hari lalu kerana ia dikatakan produk keluaran negara ini.
