Pamilya ni Guji Lorenzana, naka-quarantine mula New Year's Day dahil sa COVID-19

Heartbreaking para sa singer-actor na si Guji Lorenzana nang magkaroon ng COVID-19 ang buong pamilya niya, siya, ang kanyang asawang si Cheska at ang dalawang anak nila—ang two-year-old na si Cassidy at ang 11-month-old na si Brielle.

Kung may ipinagpapasalamat si Guji, wala sa mga miyembro ng kanyang pamilya ang dinala sa ospital at lubos na maaasahan ang matulungin na staff ng condominium building sa Bonifacio Global City na kanilang tinitirhan.

Kuwento ni Guji, “We’ve been stuck in quarantine since New Year’s day.

“We don’t know kung saan galing yung COVID, we’ve been home most of the time and it’s very contagious talaga. I didn’t know it will hit us.

“Buti naman, nandito kami sa isang magandang condo sa BGC. Yung staff dito sa condo building namin is very helpful. They bring it [food supplies] to our door and very supportive yung staff kaya very thankful kami sa kanila.”

Hindi hinayaan ni Guji na matalo ito ng karamdaman dahil kahit tinamaan siya ng COVID, ipinagpatuloy niya ang paggawa ng mga kanta at content para sa kanyang YouTube channel.

“In order to get better and stay healthy, I kept myself busy sa work at home day job ko, sa family ko, and I continue to keep creating online so if you go to my YouTube page, ang dami kong mga cover videos.

“Hindi naman ako nawawala from showbiz. Maraming projects na in the works pa rin and siyempre, dahil sa COVID restrictions, maraming delays din but I have some projects with Vivamax.

“There’s an international movie that I cannot speak to much about but sana maging part ako and I’m excited for that.”

Bago nagkasakit ng COVID si Guji, nagawa nitong i-release ang kanyang bagong single sa Viva Records na may pamagat na “This Beat Will Save You”

Isinulat niya noong 2018 pero akmang-akma ang lyrics sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon ng buong mundo dahil sa pandemya.

“This Beat Will Save You reminded me that I should keep on working, especially when we I was isolating with my family. I used the time to be creative, because that was the healthy thing to do, while recovering from COVID.

“The premise of the song is basically just go with the flow, sobrang fitting sa nangyayari sa mundo ngayon dahil sa pandemya.

“I think we really need to just not worry so much and I truly believe that the music in our lives will save us,” saad ni Guji.
