Moment 'TikTok yobs' shove hosepipe through pensioner's letter box and flood their bungalow as police launch hunt for louts over the 'heartless crime'

Police are hunting five suspected ‘TikTok’ yobs after Ring doorbell footage captured them shoving a hosepipe through an elderly resident’s letterbox, flooding their bungalow.

The footage appears to show one of the teens filming the cruel prank on a mobile phone.

One boy is seen stretching the wall mounted hose to the front door before turning on the outside tap.

The grinning louts targeted the property in Larne Road in Lincoln overnight on Wednesday.

Residents living in the neighbourhood have expressed their shock at the ‘heartless crime’.

One woman said: ‘The only people who live here are either retired or elderly.

‘Whoever these people are should be ashamed of themselves. It looks like they were filming the whole thing so it’ll probably end up on TikTok.’

A man, who has lived on the road for five years, said: ‘It’s beyond cruel. The victim must have been terrified. It was such a heartless crime.

‘I used to feel safe living around here but now I’m worried about not locking my door even when I’m inside watching television in the day.

‘The problem is, these people think they can get away with whatever they want and unfortunately, they usually do.’

Lincolnshire Police said: ‘We are appealing for help to identify the people in this video and we hope that our community can assist us.

‘We believe that they may be able to help our investigation into a report of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.

‘We have received a report that a hosepipe was put through a vulnerable resident’s letterbox and turned on causing flooding to the property.

‘We know that the faces of those on the footage cannot be clearly seen, but we believe that their mannerisms and clothing will be recognisable to those who know them.

‘We can’t really speculate on the circumstances or intention as that forms part of the investigation, all we can do is to confirm that it is being investigated as anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.’

Anyone with information can call police quoting incident number 371 of 7 February.
