KUALA LUMPUR: Federal CID deputy director Deputy Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa is set to become the next City police chief, says police secretary Deputy Comm Alzafny Ahmad.

He added that DCP Rusdi will also be promoted to Commissioner in the transfer effective Mac 25.

In a statement on Thursday (Feb 22) DCP Alzafny said among those also being transferred included Federal Narcotic Crime Investigation Department (NCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Kamarudin Md Din who will take over as the Federal Internal Security and Public Order Department director.

“Penang police chief Comm Datuk Khaw Kok Chin will take over as the new NCID director.

“Federal NCID deputy director (property forfeitures,legislation and detention) Deputy Comm Datuk Hamzah Ahmad is also set to be promoted to the rank of Commissioner when he takes the post of Federal Internal Security and Public Order Department (Operations) deputy director,” he said.

Meanwhile, Penang deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamadwill also be transferred to Bukit Aman as he takes the Federal CID deputy director’s (investigations and legislation) post.

He said Home Ministry Crime Prevention Board member Senior Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner as he assumes the Federal NCID deputy director (property forfeitures,legislation and detention) post.

Meanwhile Bukit Aman Sexual, Women and Children Crime Investigation Division (D11)principal assistant director Asst Comm Siti Kamsiah Hassan will be promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner and retains the same post.

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Shafaaton Abu Bakar will also be promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner once she takes over as the Perak Police Management Department chief.
