At the moment, police weapons are always loaded – due to the PST’s assessment that the terrorist threat from extreme Islamism has intensified in Norway – and they are secured with a lock. The 22-year-old did not succeed in getting the pistol out of the holster, the newspaper writes.
The man is charged with violence against the police and attempting to obtain possession of a service weapon or otherwise cause a public official to lose control of his service weapon, as stated in the law.
