The car-shaped PS2, manufactured by Spiritplayers, was used as a showcase piece at the Leipzig Games Convention in Germany. It features a small car key that is used to turn the console on, with the disc reader located under the hood where the car’s engine would be. Only one of these aesthetic consoles was made, making it an incredibly rare item sought after by many collectors. Retro PlayStation 2 merchandise finds are frequently shared with the community, though the current status and whereabouts of this Need for Speed PS2 remain a mystery.
