Orlando Pirates have issued an injury update ahead of their Thursday league match with Royal AM at Orlando Stadium.

Kick-off is at 17:30.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Pirates confirmed that the majority of their players on the sidelines are nearing a return to action.

A few of Pirates players, including Thembinkosi Lorch, Richard Ofori, Vincent Pule and Zakhele Lepasa are currently nursing long-term injuries.
“There has been some progress on the injury front, with some players in the Buccaneers’ long injury list nearing a return to action,” read part of the statement.

The bad news though is that goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands and striker Tshegofatso Mabasa have injury concerns ahead of the game.
At this stage, it’s unclear if the duo will form part of the Pirates matchday squad for the match against high-flying Royal AM.
