Oppn has joined hands to protect the corrupt: J P Nadda
HYDERABAD: BJP president J P Nadda on Monday lashed out at the INDIA bloc saying they were all about ‘bhrashtachari ko bachao’ (protecting the corrupt).
Addressing the Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha in Mahabubabad, he said, “In all their rallies, two seats are left vacant – one for Jharkhand former CM Hemant Soren and another for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Both are in jail for corruption. All the scamsters have come together to save themselves. Tell me, didn’t TMC, DMK, RJD and AAP leaders indulge in scams? But Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced from Red Fort that he would put an end to corruption at any cost.”
Nadda asked the gathering if Congress and INDIA bloc partners could tell the country who their prime ministerial candidate was. “I can now say this from the dais that Ajmeera Naik is the BJP candidate from Mahabubabad and seek votes for him. I can say our leader is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Can they come out with names like we do?” he asked.
If Rahul Gandhi had become prime minister, he would not have dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic the way Modi did, he said.
Telangana will support ‘majboot sarkar’: Nadda
Can he handle global challenges like PM Modi has?” the BJP chief asked.
Calling the NDA government “majboot sarkar” (strong government), he said: “Because of strong leadership, construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya was possible, abrogation of Article 370 was possible.”
The BJP chief stated that Congress was in confusion as it was losing the current election. “We can see their fear now, trying to create a rift between people, they are even circulating fake videos,” he said.
Nadda said in the next five years, Telangana would take a great leap in different sectors such as infrastructure, connectivity, farming and others.
Earlier, speaking at a public meeting in Kothagudem, he said, “In the last decade there was no trace of corruption during the NDA government, but all sorts of corruption took place in Telangana. BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha was involved in the liquor scam.”
Taking to X later, he stated, “Previously, Telangana was suffering under the BRS government, and now Congress possesses similar traits of ‘majboor sarkar’. “The people of Telangana have decided to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Majboot Sarkar’ in the Lok Sabha elections.”
