Gardaí are investigating a break-into to a church in Killarney last weekend.
Thieves entered the Church of the Holy Spirit in Muckross and used a consaw to cut the padlock on the donation box in the church.
The consaw was later discovered in the confession box.
A small sum of money was stolen from the donations box by the thieves who forced open the box to access the contents.
The incident occurred between 2.45pm on Friday January 19 and 4pm on Saturday, January 20 at the church in Muckross which is also known as Gortahoonig church.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything in the vicinity of the church or Muckross during the weekend to contact them at Killarney Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line
