Karnataka JD(S) chief to fight Lok Sabha polls, seat-sharing talks still on
Janata Dal (Secular) chief HD Kumaraswamy will contest the Lok Sabha elections 2024 from the Mandya seat in Karnataka based on BJP’s directions, sources have said. Similarly, JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna will fight from Hassan constituency.
The ruling BJP and other members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are holding meetings to finalise the seat-sharing formula for the upcoming elections.
Two seats have been fixed for JD(S) as of now and negotiations are on for more seats. Notably, all the seats offered to the JD(S) are in the Vokkaliga belt in Southern Karnataka.
Meanwhile, former Union Minister Ananthkumar Hegde is likely to not get a ticket for he has been facing backlash for making back to back controversial statements.
