OM demands community service against rapper Lil Kleine for assault

The Public Prosecution Service demands a community service order of 120 hours, a suspended prison sentence of two weeks and a probation period of two years against Lil Kleine for assault. That said the public prosecutor today in the court of Amsterdam.

The 27-year-old rapper is accused of assaulting another man on December 6, 2019, together with two men from Boxtel, in a nightclub in Amsterdam. The alleged victim says he was grabbed by the men, kicked in the body and punched or beaten in the face. When he fell to the ground after being pushed, he was kicked even more. The Public Prosecution Service also demands community service and suspended prison sentences against the other alleged perpetrators.

Camera images of the incident could be seen in the Amsterdam court today. One of the videos shows, among other things, how Lil Kleine and the two other suspects make kicking movements while the victim is lying on the ground. The man says he suffered bruises, bruising and emotional damage from the incident.

Lil Kleine, who was not present in court, previously stated to the police that he had approached the man because he had run into his fiancée Jaimie Vaes. According to the rapper, he would have reacted “derogatory and arrogant”. Lil Kleine says he did not touch the man and that he did “nothing criminal”.

Rapper not present at trial

The 27-year-old rapper thinks that the man wants to put “Lil Kleine in a wrong light”. This is evident from his statement, which was read aloud. “I never argue when I’m in town or going out.”

The man who was assaulted said he sustained injuries from the incident. The alleged victim had subcutaneous bruises and bruises, it was announced today during the assault case in the Amsterdam court. Since then, he also says that he feels anxious and unsafe.
