Prince Andrew gets on with daily life as Duke is spotted driving to Windsor Castle to walk the late Queen's corgis - days after final batch of unsealed Epstein files are released

Prince Andrew appears to be pushing on with daily life after being spotted driving to Windsor Castle to take the late Queen’s beloved corgis out for a walk.

The outing comes as the shamed Duke of York continues to weather further fallout from the ongoing Epstein scandal, just days after the final batch of unsealed court documents were released.

The bombshell files had initially caused the Duke to go into hiding, with sources claiming he had ‘locked himself away in a room’, but over the past few days the sheepish Prince has made a few public appearances.

This afternoon, the Duke of York, wearing a dark jumper and yellow polo top,  looked glum as he drove a dark green Land Rover Defender through Windsor Park to reach the royal residence before taking the late monarch’s dogs out on a stroll.

It is the third outing Andrew, 63, has made since the files were unsealed, with a source telling the Mail earlier: ‘He doesn’t have the emotional bandwidth to deal with this.

‘He has locked himself away in a room and has no idea how to respond. He’s devastated.’

Yesterday the 63-year-old Prince was seen at the Royal Lodge alongside around a 20 men, after missing out on his weekly shooting session last Saturday.

He was seen driving in a convoy to meet his friends. The group then shot pheasants at Windsor Great Park before returning just before 1pm.

Andrew was first seen on Tuesday after not making any public appearances since he walked to the church at Sandringham alongside the King and Queen, as well as his ex-wife Fergie, the Duchess of York.

The court documents have mounted further pressure upon the already under-fire duke who is alleged to have committed ‘acts of sexual abuse’ and taken part in an ‘underage orgy’.

Prince Andrew has been engulfed in the scandal ever since sex abuse claims were first made about his friend Epstein, a convicted paedophile who died in prison.

In 2022, the duke settled an out of court settlement with Virginia Giuffre – one of Epstein’s victim after she claimed he sexually assaulted her.

Andrew has vehemently and repeatedly denied all allegations made against him. He previously claimed he did not even remember meeting Ms Giuffre.

The latest tranche of unsealed documents revealed that Ms Giuffre had claimed Epstein paid her $15,000 to have sex with the Prince when she was 17.

Ms Giuffre, now 40 and living in Australia, made the allegations while being questioned under oath in 2017.

‘I did receive $15,000. I do not know the equivalent to what that is in pounds,’ she said. She was then quizzed by a lawyer on whether she paid tax on the amount, with Mrs Giuffre replying ‘no’.

Throughout the deposition, she testified that she was trafficked to have sex with the Duke in a bath at Ghislaine Maxwell’s townhouse after dancing with a ‘sweating’ Andrew at a London’s Faces nightclub.

During his infamous interview with Newsnight, the Prince claimed this was untrue as he had been at a Pizza Express in Woking at the time.

He also claimed he cannot sweat because he had an ‘overdose of adrenaline in the Falklands War, when I was shot at … it was almost impossible for me to sweat’.

Other sordid claims made throughout the documents include allegations that Epstein secretly filmed the royal having sex.

Sarah Ransome, who gave a victim impact statement ahead of the sentencing of British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell for sex-trafficking, appeared to write communications claiming Andrew, Richard Branson and Bill Clinton were all filmed.

A letter from Miss Ransome states: ‘When my friend had sexual intercourse with Clinton, Prince Andrew and Richard Branson, sex tapes were in fact filmed on each separate occasion by Jeffrey.

‘I personally can confirm that I have, with my own two eyes, seen the evidence of these sexual acts, which clearly identifies Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, Richard Branson having sexual intercourse with my friend.

‘I will be more then [sic] willing to swear under oath and testify in court.’

A New Yorker article, released in 2019, reported that she admitted ‘she had invented the tapes to draw attention to Epstein’s behaviour, and to make him believe that she had ‘evidence that would come out if he harmed me’.

All three men have strenously denied any wrong doing, while the allegations of the sex tapes were branded ‘baseless and unfounded’ by the Virgin tycoon’s spokesman’.

A Virgin Group spokesperson confirmed: ‘We categorically reject all allegations made by Sarah Ransome.

‘In 2016, Ms Ransome retracted her claims and then in 2019 after settling her claims with Epstein and Maxwell, she also admitted to The New Yorker that the ‘tapes’ had been ‘invented’. The allegations are baseless and unfounded.

‘The actions of Jeffrey Epstein were abhorrent and we support the right to justice for the many victims impacted by his abuse.’

Mrs Guiffre has previously claimed she was trafficked to the UK at the age of 17 by Epstein and Maxwell and forced to have sex with Andrew.

Many of the allegations made in the documents are not new, however, reveals the uncomfortable closeness of the Queen’s son to Epstein – who was accused of abusing dozens of underage girls over several decades.

Claims suggest that Andrew spent ‘weeks’ with the abuser and received ‘daily’ massages from the largely female staff.

The scandal has once again raised questions about Andrew’s role within the royal family.

Andrew was stripped of his HRH titles and royal duties by the Queen in 2019 but the King has since made clear his brother can be a part of the firm as a working royal, being able to attend family events.

There has been much speculation over whether Andrew, long considered to be the late Queen’s favourite child, will be evicted from the Royal Lodge.

But a friend of the Duke told the Times this week that King Charles will allow his brother to stay in the residence as ‘blood is thicker than water’.

Andrew has lived in the 30-room mansion in Windsor Great Park for 20 years. He will be allowed to remain until 2078 when his lease expires.

‘The King is somebody with a high level of integrity,’ the source told the Times. ‘There are people in the royal household who would take a more aggressive stance, but in that family, blood is thicker than water.’
