‘Marc Márquez will be one of the keys of the rider market’ – Andrea Dovizioso
With the vast majority of riders nearing the end of their contracts, including those in factory teams, the MotoGP market for 2025 promises some excitement – with expectations that it will start stirring in the early months of the season. Andrea Dovizioso believes that this will lead to an increase in the risks taken by riders, also pointing out Marc Márquez as one of the keys.
In an interview with Sky Sport MotoGP, the former rider analyzed: ‘Contracts will be closing very soon. So everyone will press and take more risks, especially at the beginning of the season. Let’s hope that this increase in risks does not also translate into an increase in errors. Furthermore, almost all riders have the advantage of riding bikes they already know, which will allow them to attack even more’.
Márquez moved to Gresini with a one-year contract, making him one of the available riders. And Dovizioso believes that the former rival could have a significant relevance in the market: ‘Márquez will undoubtedly be one of the keys of the rider market, but we have to wait to see the competitors’.
