Colonel Nguyên Xuân Hoa, commander of the border guards of Thua Thiên-Huê province, handed over 225 gifts, including more than 2.5 tons of rice, 500 masks and 30 boxes of Vietnamese noodles with a total value of nearly 50 million VND (2100 USD).
The cooperation links between Thua Thiên-Huê, the provincial border guards in particular, and the border guards of the provinces of Sekong and Salavan and other Laotian localities have been deepened through the sharing of information, joint patrols and to the effective fight against crime, contributing to the control of the COVID-19 epidemic and to the protection of the border areas of the two nations.
The border posts along the border between Vietnam and Laos, in collaboration with the authorities of the district of A Luoi (province of Thua Thiên-Huê), organized visits and offered gifts to the armed forces and residents Laotian border localities, strengthening solidarity between border guards and the peoples of the two countries.
