Wien – Die Österreichischen Bundesbahnen (ÖBB) haben 21 weitere Cityjets für die Ostregion bei Siemens Mobility gekauft. Die Züge des Typs Desiro ML sollen im Laufe des Jahres 2026 auf der Stammstrecke zwischen Wien-Meidling und Floridsdorf sowie auf den Außenästen in Niederösterreich auf die Schiene kommen, teilten beide Unternehmen am Montag mit.

Insgesamt 294 Cityjets bestellt

Insgesamt haben die ÖBB somit 294 Züge dieser Art bestellt, 236 davon sind bereits im Einsatz. Der Auftrag sei Teil einer Rahmenvereinbarung, zum Auftragswert wurden keine Angaben gemacht. (APA, 29.4.2024)
