NYY News: Some good injury news for once
New York Daily News | Gary Phillips: Despite the mostly pretty good start to the season, the Yankees have been bitten by the injury bug. Gerrit Cole, DJ LeMahieu, and Jasson Domínguez are all among the players who likely would’ve played a role for the Yankees in 2024 had they not been dealing with injuries. On Tuesday, the Yankees had some updates on all three (and others) of their statuses, and the news was all generally pretty good.
FanGraphs | Michael Baumann: Long before the Yankees traded for him, Juan Soto has been regarded as one of the best hitters in the major leagues. It’s why he’s likely in line for a massive contract when he hits free agency this winter. Even though he was already an excellent hitter with one of the best eyes possible, he’s still managed to make improvements to his game so far this year.
MLB Trade Rumors | Darragh McDonald: When the Yankees activated Jon Berti off the injured list over the weekend, Taylor Trammell was the choice for them to take off the roster as they DFAed him. However, Trammell has now cleared waivers and will now be outrighted to Triple-A, remaining in the organization for now.
New York Post | Michael Blinn: Monday night saw the Knicks open up their second round series in the NBA Playoffs against the Indiana Pacers. As you might expect for a big playoff game at Madison Square Garden, the crowd was star-studded, including a number of Yankees.
