A morning coffee run at a Midtown McDonald’s got heated this week when a customer stabbed another man — because there was too much sugar in his cup of joe, cops said.
The suspect was arguing with a security guard about his too-sweet coffee around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday inside the fast-food joint on Eighth Avenue near West 35th Street, authorities said.
The dispute spilled out of the eatery, where the irate coffee lover used an unspecified “cutting instrument” to stab a 57-year-old friend of the guard in the torso, cops said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The suspect is shown wearing a black newsboy cap and carrying a tote bag with a detailed design, including an image of a cactus, in surveillance images released late Thursday.
According to the NYPD, two men got into an argument inside a McDonald’s which continued outside of the stop where one man proceeded to stab the other.
