Number of COVID patients admitted increases to 859, of which 200 in the ICU

Utrecht

The total number of admitted COVID patients in the Netherlands is currently 859, which is 10 more than Tuesday. “Of these, 200 are in the ICU, 8 more than yesterday and 659 in the clinic, 2 more than yesterday,” the LCPS reported on Wednesday.

New recordings

Today, 134 new COVID patients have been admitted to Dutch hospitals, 2 fewer than yesterday. Of the new COVID patients, 21 have been admitted to the ICU, 7 more than yesterday and 113 in the clinic, 9 less than yesterday. The average number of new admissions increased last week for both the ICU and the clinic.

Occupation Intensive Care Unit

The total occupancy in the Intensive Care Unit has increased by 24 to 791 beds. There are now 200 COVID patients in the ICU, 8 more than yesterday and 591 non-COVID patients, 16 more than yesterday. The COVID occupancy in the ICU has risen in the past week.

Occupation clinic

The total occupancy in the clinic fell by 193 to 14,432 beds. There are now 659 COVID patients in the clinic, 2 more than yesterday. The COVID occupancy in the clinic has shown an increase in recent weeks. The LCPS expects to see a further rise this week.
