PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a man suspected of assaulting a nurse at Jalan Simpang Tiga Dangi in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, on April 19.
The 34-year-old suspect was detained at the Kuala Pilah police headquarters yesterday evening, district police chief Amran Gani said, according to Berita Harian.
He has been remanded for four days from today.
Amran said police were still investigating the motive for the attack, including his relationship with the victim.
The nurse, in her 30s, was found lying face down, with injuries to her head, next to her car at 10pm.
She was believed to be on her way home from the hospital when she was attacked.
