NSW has recorded 1022 new Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths – eight men and two women.
The new cases came from more than 120,000 tests while most of the cases were from western and south western Sydney.
The news came as the state government revealed a ‘friends bubble’ for people younger than 18 who can now gather in groups of three, but their parents must be fully vaccinated.
About 53 per cent of eligible NSW residents are fully vaccinated.
