Nothing has announced a blue variant of the recently launched Phone 2a. The device is currently available in only black and white colours. The new blue model will be available starting May 2 and the company has confirmed that the Nothing Phone 2a will effectively be on sale under Rs 20,000. There is no difference between the new variant and the older ones. Nothing has just unveiled a new colour variant to give users more options in terms of colours. Here is everything you need to know.
The Nothing Phone 2a’s new blue colour variant will be available with a price tag of Rs 19,999 on May 2, which is inclusive of a SBI bank card offer. People who have this bank card will be able to claim a discount of Rs 2,000 during Flipkart Big Saving Days Sale that is set to take place on May 3. People who have Flipkart membership will be able to access the sale a day early. The mentioned bank offer will effectively bring down the price from Rs 23,999 (original price) to Rs 21,999. There is also an additional Rs 2,000 discount, as part of its bonus exchange offer.
Along with the launch of the new Phone 2a model, the company has announced that the Nothing Phone (2) buyers can avail the smartphone at Rs 29,999. This is down from the original price of Rs 34,999. The same offer is inclusive of an SBI bank offer and a bonus exchange offer. The offer will be visible starting Flipkart Big Saving Days sale.
Nothing Phone (2a): Specs
The Nothing Phone (2a) has a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen that has support for 30Hz-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It is good to see the company is including support for a 30Hz refresh rate, which helps improve battery life in some way or the other. The panel has 1,300nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.Â
The Nothing device packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC. Nothing has promised that its Phone 2a will get three Android version upgrades and four years of security patch updates. The Antutu benchmarks have revealed that the Nothing phone offers faster performance than some of its rivals.
The Nothing Phone 2a offers a dual rear camera setup as well. It packs an ultra-wide-angle sensor to let you fit more people in a frame or capture wider scenes, something that you won’t be able to get with the main sensor. It has a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with OIS and an f/1.88 aperture. There is also a 50-megapixel secondary ultra-wide sensor with a 114-degree field of view. For selfies, you will see a 32-megapixel front camera.
Under the hood is also a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Nothing doesn’t bundle a charger along with the smartphone and there is no wireless charging support.
