Zach Werenski Gave His Opinions On Head Coach Pascal Vincent, Daniil Tarasov Today On 97.1 The Fan

Werenski was asked about Head Coach Pascal Vincent, “Pazzy’s been awesome, we all love Pazzy. Obviously, it’s been a tough year for our group in terms of wins and losses, but I think he’s done a good job at changing the culture. Obviously, he was kind of thrown into a tough situation early on right before training camp, and then lately with injuries and the trade deadline, and moving some guys out of here. There’s no excuses, I think like I said, he’s done a really good job of kind of shifting us to where we want to go, and the culture we want to have here in Columbus. And it’s really all you can ask for. And then now it’s on us as players to continue to get better and understand the systems and all that stuff and just try and get some wins. We obviously like him and we want him here, but like you said, you have no idea what the GM’s going to do and all that stuff is out of my control. As players, all we can do is play for each other, play for him, and try and get wins these last few games here,” Zach says.

Werenski was also asked about the recent play of Daniil Tarasov to which he responded, “He just plays with such a calm demeanor in net, and I think it carries through our whole group. Obviously, he’s worked back from injury and had some bumps along the way, but he’s been really really good for us lately, and like I said I think it carries through our whole room, and our whole team and guys enjoy playing in front of him.”

Werenski also had some good things to say about Kirill Marchenko and the fact that the Jackets haven’t had a three-game win streak all season.
