Why North Carolina can cover 

The Tar Heels have four players averaging at least 13.7 points per game, led by junior forward Armando Bacot. He is averaging team highs in points (16.3), rebounds (12.2) and blocks (1.7) per game. Bacot leads the ACC in double-doubles (17), field-goal percentage (56.5) and rebounding, and is second in the nation in double-doubles. His streak of registering 10 or more rebounds in 13 straight games came to an end on Saturday against Duke. It was the third-longest in North Carolina history. His stretch of 10 consecutive double-doubles also was snapped. It was the most by a Tar Heel since 1964-65.

Also powering North Carolina is sophomore guard Caleb Love. He is averaging 15 points, 3.6 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Junior Al-Amir Dawes is coming off an 18-point performance in the loss at Georgia Tech. Dawes averages 11.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and one steal per game. He scored a season-high 21 points against Presbyterian on Nov. 9 and has reached double-digit scoring in 11 games. Last year, the Tigers went 9-2 in games that Dawes scored in double figures.
