'Nobody Likes a Part 4': Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Director Explains Time Jump
In anticipation of the highly-awaited release of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, director Wes Ball opened up about the time jump from the trilogy. The movie is set to continue a whopping 300 years after the reboot trilogy.
Ball explained in a red carpet interview with Deadline that the time jump “was a way to get some distance from the previous movie” and added that the move will open up “lots of story potential”. The director explained that while some fans wanted a continuation, “nobody likes a part four” and promised that the movie works had to satisfy the fans of the trilogy.
